No God and Saviour
Beside Me By: Philip Mitanidis A powerful presentation of the God who says, "3 I am the LORD thy [your] God, the Holy One of Israel, thy [your] Saviour." "11 I am the LORD; and beside me there is no Saviour." "15 I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, Your King." (Isaiah 43:3, 11, 15). And then, the prophet of the LORD says, "6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last, and beside Me there is no God" (Isaiah 44:6). Astounding revelation don't you think? Besides revealing who claims the above remarks, the book also reveals the plan of Salvation prophetically (1 Peter 1:10), and the literal fulfillment of the Old Testament's Messianic prophecies by Christ (Messiah John 1:41) when He came in the flesh two thousand years ago. If you were living two thousand years ago in Jerusalem and you were expecting the Messiah (Christ- John 1:41) to appear, how would you know who He was when He came? The magi knew! In fact, many of the people in Christ's time knew who He was. Pointing to Christ's authenticity, they said, "31 When Christ cometh, will He do more miracles than these which this man [Christ] hath done?" (John 7:31). But, the question is, why is Christ the LORD saying "beside Me there is no God" (Isaiah 44:6)? The answer is in the Book, but more precisely in the Bible.
